Job Overview 

PlanetArt is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer as a contractor to support the company’s Content & Merchandising department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating personalized surface design patterns for wrapping paper, utilizing both traditional design skills and AI tools to produce visually appealing and commercially viable designs. 

This is a remote, work-from-home position. 

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities

  • Create original surface patterns for wrapping paper across various themes, holidays, and occasions 
  • Use AI pattern generation tools to develop artwork and iterate on designs 
  • Edit, refine, and customize AI-generated patterns to meet brand standards and customer needs 
  • Apply strong typography and layout skills to integrate text and photo elements seamlessly into pattern designs 
  • Maintain design consistency while producing high-volume pattern variations 
  • Present design concepts and incorporate feedback from creative directors and stakeholders 

What You Should Have
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent experience 
  • 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably with surface design or pattern creation 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 
  • Strong understanding of typography principles and font pairing 
  • Experience with layout design and composition for various formats 
  • Familiarity with AI design tools 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision 
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to receive and implement feedback 
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills for remote work environment 
  • Portfolio demonstrating pattern design, typography, and layout skills 

What You Can Expect
Working Conditions

  • Position requires fully remote work scheduled from 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM US Pacific Time 
  • Position requires regular, continuous use of computer. 
  • Position requires regular interaction with team members through Zoom and Slack 
  • Position requires time and screen tracking via Hubstaff 

Work from Home Requirements: 

  • Own computer (Windows 10 or higher or Mac, at least 8GB RAM and at least Intel i5, Ryzen 5 or M1 processor) 
  • Reliable high-speed internet access 
  • Private, distraction-free environment 


Pay Range

  • Pay Rate: ₱50,000 to ₱60,000 per month
